Drew Blythe Barrymore, born 22nd February 1975 is an American actress. She has received numerous honors which include an Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award as along with five Emmy Award nominations and a BAFTA nomination. She is part of the Barrymore family of actors, and the granddaughter of John Barrymore. Barrymore became a famous child actress because of her character in E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. Following a highly publicized childhood marked by drug and alcohol abuse, she released her autobiography Little Girl Lost. In the 1990s she appeared in numerous films, including PoisonIvy, Boys on the Side and Mad Love. Barrymore was a co-star with Adam Sandler on a few films, including The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates and Blended. Barrymore was a child actress who became famous due to her part in E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. The Extra-Terrestrial was the result of a highly publicized early childhood plagued by drugs and alcohol addiction, she wrote an autobiography Little Girl Lost. In the 90s she appeared in many films including Poison, Boys on the Side and Mad Love.
